An Oyster from the Old Dock Boat Launch in W. Falmouth

Was driving by at low tide and noticed the beach was littered with white spots. Got out to investigate and -yes- they were oysters. Tried one:

At first it was very salty and very "seafood" flavored. This then melted away into butter. After, the oyster stayed on my palate for a while - till I ate something else.

Not sure I liked it but it was probably pretty good. In any case, it sets a memorable standard.

Scaup flying past Woods Hole Yacht Club jetty

This is the same flock of scaup that were between the Yacht Club and the town dock. I got lucky and they flew past, while I was drawing the Club jetty.

Nobska beach - private cabanas

The original has more blue in the sea color. My iPhone camera tends to reduce blue in general.
